The British Nigeria Law Forum elects first woman chair

The British Nigeria Law Forum is a vibrant professional organisation made up of practising lawyers and students. We provide business, networking and educational opportunities for our members and friends in the UK and Nigeria. Established in 2001, the group has a long and successful track record of staging major professional and social events designed to develop and support the careers of our members.

The British Nigeria Law Forum held an AGM on 5 June 2017. It was an historic meeting as Seye Aina was welcomed as the first woman to chair BNLF since its inception in 2001. Following BNLF elections, Babs Akinyanju was returned as the Treasurer, new committee members are Kash Balogun and Funmi Oyeneyin and Rebecca Okoria is co-opted as the publicity officer. BNLF is working on a number of key areas of law which include: Immigration and Nationality, Criminal Justice, Family, Health, Child Care, Business, Commercial and Professional Regulation. BNLF Members will be sent information on all the discussions held at the AGM and plans for the year. BNLF are also conducting a survey of its members.
