TERMS OF LISTING IN THE BRITISH NIGERIA LAW FORUM’S MEMBERS’ ONLINE DIRECTORY

  1. Submitted information will be reviewed by British Nigeria Law Forum’s (“BNLF’s”) officers, who decide on its publication in the members’ online directory. The publication of any directory entry will be at the sole discretion of BNLF.
  2. We reserve the right to accept, reject or remove any directory entry with no explanation to you.
  3. Any material deemed defamatory, discriminatory, racist, or otherwise unlawful or offending will not be approved for publication.
  4. If requested, you agree to send us a copy of your CV, which should include references. Please see our Data Privacy policy.
  5. By indicating a profession, practice area, or other similar information about your professional qualifications, you warrant that you are qualified in that area either through years of practice or through legal qualification from an authorised educational institution such as a university. You also agree to provide further proof of your qualifications and experience upon request. As such, we have no legal liability regarding any unsubstantiated specialisations, but will remove you from our Online Directory if we consider it appropriate to do so.
  6. It is a requirement of our submission process that you agree to receive occasional e-mails from us. If any of these notification e-mails are returned undelivered, we may refuse or withdraw publication of your entry in the members’ online directory. You may opt out of receiving notifications from us. However, we may determine in those circumstances that we are unable to maintain your listing in the directory. If so, we will inform you accordingly, but you will not be entitled to a refund of your directory listing fee. Your removal from the directory listing will not affect your status as a member of BNLF.
  7. You acknowledge that any breach of the above-mentioned conditions may cause us loss or damage and you agree to indemnify us in full against any, claims, costs, third party liabilities, loss or damage we incur as a result of publishing information you submit to us, including indirect or consequential losses.

TERMS OF USE

The directory is provided on the understanding that we the British Nigeria Law Forum (“BNLF”) do not assume or undertake any legal responsibility to you, or those affected, if you choose to take it into account when instructing anyone listed on the directory whether in their stated capacity as a lawyer or otherwise.

Further BNLF, its officers, members, employees or any other persons otherwise affiliated with BNLF cannot and do not accept liability to any person or entity for any loss or damage howsoever arising in connection with any information published on this directory nor is responsibility accepted to any user of the directory for its contents and accuracy. Nonetheless, we will remove any content that in our absolute discretion or upon report to us we determine to be potentially misleading or inaccurate, such as information about expertise and qualifications which are unverifiable.

Our aim is to provide users of this directory with relevant information but our lists are not recommendations and must not be treated and/or used as such.
